Mumbai :A city that never sleep

This is all about city that we all know as financial capital of India,city of dreams, it's Mumbai one of the largest city in the world. Even though brought up in Pune because born in Mumbai i have keen relationship with city.

As my grandmother stays @Santacruz i have visited it almost every year. Along with time as i was growing i was also getting know about the city even more and of course life of mumbaikar from much closer. During these days i get opportunity to experience the life of mumbaikar as part of them. i saw how these people building these city making it Mumbai :A city that never sleeps. As " Assal Punekar" i know the working style of punekar " Sagale kase apala Nivant " but the picture is somewhat different in Mumbai where mumbaikar outshines punekar by his spirit and how each second of his life is valuable for him.

I want to share my experience to elaborate spirit of mumbaikar. It was my summer when i was in Mumbai for one of my vacation. That day we decided to visit " Gate way to India" and accordingly we decided to took Local for our journey to church gate. We all already know how hard to get on local at Mumbai but as it was noon time it was easy that time .when i get on train was not crowded as you see if you travel in evening or morning time. i sat near window and watching Mumbai through it. I also take glance in my berth and i saw everyone was doing some work no one i found ideal like me so get back to my own task that is to watch outside :). Suddenly i heard bang on floor of berth i look towards sound i get know that man was fainted losses his control. After few moments people come forward to help that man. Man near him gave him his seat other people gave him water to drink . when some time is pass man was feeling okay he thank everyone get back to own business and in similar way other also back to their routines like nothing just happen few moments ago everything was normal. From this small event i got to know how this mumbaikar have experience the attacks on their city and still moving forward after facing them courageously . That day i saw the true spirit of mumbaikar and of course Mumbai.

When i was returning to my home to Pune we took bus. It was late night and i was to sleepy at that time. But when i saw outside the city was starting wake up the people was already started their day to serve this city and my sleepy eyes was watching all their efforts to build this city and keep it running. I will never forgot the spirit if this city and also salute to mumbaikar who have made this city, a city of dreams, a City that never Sleep....

We becoming Superpower by 2020 ? ?

when i think of India in 2020 as superpower i look for country with no load shading, poverty at least below 5 % and largest economy in world ...but wait where i am going looks like i am doing exaggeration when i see today's India...is it really true ? that we becoming superpower by 2020 seems like an quixotic dream when we saw today's India with everyday news about the corruption looks like we also making progress in this field also and soon will achieve topmost post in corrupted nations but i don't think this will pull back our passion of becoming super power because corruption is only on aspect that we have consider that will deteriorate our progress and it is fact that there no country in world with zero corruption.
We should also see the country making tremendous progress compared to other countries in just 60 years are of our freedom we have achieved to much need to appreciated we are the 11th largest economy in world and second largest country worldwide in farm output and so on. so if look also positive points that we have and concentrate on making improvement in them we will easily achieve the our aim by 2020 when i say look at positive points it dose not mean we can ignore the negative points that pulling our nation down.
So today is the time of our's, time of common man, we have tremendous power as common man. Right to vote, with this we can change face of tomorrow's India and we can see the results .

So, its time to use true meaning of democracy and vote for every elections held then we can comment on politics because in order to change the system you must be the part of the system.

Brain Drain

Brain drain a well discussed topic, what it means is skilled people are leaving country but I think is problem is not up to the skilled people it is probably more than that. In addition to skilled people students seeking for higher educations leaving country. The most certain question after this is WHY?

If we think on this, we can come up with several reasons why people want to leave India or more specifically why they want to settle in foreign countries. I am going to focus on one of the aspect of brain drain that is students leaving India for higher education.

Today students seeking higher education, prefer other countries over India.

One of the most striking reason behind this is dearth of quality education, even though we have institutes like IITs, IIMs, Nits. There are few thousands seats in these institutes and more than a million applicants. That is why students choose the path with less hindrance, where they get fair selection process and more importantly quality education which they might not get in the institutes other than the ones stated above. When these people leave India and prefer to stay there even after education then they became ‘NRI’ They don’t want to come back because they feel insecure regarding job and the compensation for the services they give. They are afraid that they might need to struggle. Is this what we call brain drain? No. The answer is certainly no because we are responsible for this situation and we need to find a solution for this.

According to me,; the solution to this problem can be increasing the institutes like IIT and making selection process more transparent. This can bring back the faith the students have lost over so many years in the selection process & the system as a whole. One more thing that canprove to be a solution to this problem is conducting more research at institutes and encouraging research by providing funding by government.

I think this will make some effect on the problem stated above. Even tough these effects will not be seen in just one year, it is same like you asking fruit on other day when a plant is just planted in the soil.
